Sheppard Mullin Attorney Named Superior Court Judge by Governor Schwarzenegger

Lou Meisinger has been appointed a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge by Gov. Schwarzenegger. Lou is a senior advisor in Sheppard Mullin's Entertainment and Media practice group, based in the firm's Century City office. Managing partner Guy Halgren said, "Lou's intellect, business acumen and charm are legend. He is one of the true lions of Entertainment Law and he will be sorely missed." During his 35 years of practice, Lou has focused on the litigation of complex business and entertainment litigation matters. His representation of clients in these areas includes numerous State Court and Federal Court trials. From 1998 to 2003, Lou was executive vice president and general counsel for The Walt Disney Company. He earned a Juris Doctorate degree and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.
