Real Estate Partner Greg Grigorian Joins Sheppard Mullin Washington D.C.

Finance Specialist Strengthens Firm's East Coast Real Estate Expertise; Continues Recent Growth of Office

Gregory S. Grigorian has joined the Washington, D.C. office of Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP as a partner in the firm's Real Estate practice group.  Grigorian most recently practiced at Akin Gump in Washington, D.C.

Grigorian’s practice focuses on real estate, corporate finance, private equity and renewable energy.  He represents a variety of clients in real estate debt and equity transactions, mezzanine and subordinated debt financings, corporate loans, asset-based financings and other complex debt and equity arrangements.  Grigorian has extensive experience in the securitization of numerous asset classes, ranging from residential and commercial mortgages to more unusual assets such as church loans, whole-business loans and cell phone tower leases.  He also advises clients with respect to real estate matters related to investments in renewable energy projects such as wind farms and geothermal plants. 

Grigorian received his J.D. from the George Washington University Law School in 1994, M.B.A. from American University in 1991 and B.B.A. from George Washington University in 1988.   

In addition to Grigorian, J. Scott Maberry and Thaddeus Rogers McBride joined Sheppard Mullin this month in Washington D.C. as members of the firm's Government Contracts practice group.  Maberry and McBride most recently practiced in the Washington, D.C. office of Fulbright & Jaworski, where Maberry headed the firm's International Trade practice.  Last month, partner Roger Klein joined Sheppard Mullin's Washington, D.C. office in the Corporate practice group.  Klein previously practiced at Howrey, where he chaired the firm's Corporate and Transactional practice.
