Laura Burson Named Founding Member of ChIPs Los Angeles Chapter

Sheppard Mullin Partner Laura Burson will serve as a founding member of the newly launched Los Angeles Chapter of ChIPs where she will co-chair the Events Committee. ChIPs, a nonprofit organization focused on advancing and connecting women in technology, law, and policy, has more than 3000 members and 9 regional chapters in the US and abroad.  Each chapter represents a local community dedicated to furthering ChIPs’ mission.

Laura is a trial lawyer and registered patent attorney who focuses her practice on intellectual property litigation in the medical device, chemical, and biotechnology industries. Her practice also includes representing clients in post-grant proceedings (AIA and Reexaminations) before the USPTO.
