Sheppard Mullin Expands Corporate Practice With Lidore DeRose
Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP is pleased to announce that Lidore DeRose has joined the firm’s Corporate practice group as special counsel in the Washington, D.C. office. DeRose was most recently a director at Lockton Companies, where she led deal teams in advising clients on transaction risk insurance.
"Representation and warranty insurance is a critical component of most private equity and M&A transactions today, as the policy terms and related acquisition agreement terms are among the most heavily negotiated,” said Jeralin Cardoso, leader of Sheppard Mullin’s Corporate practice group. “Lidore brings immediate benefits and value to our M&A and private equity clients, particularly given her unique market insight, deep industry relationships and track record of obtaining highly favorable policy terms for insureds. We’re thrilled she’s joined us.”
With more than 15 years of experience as a transactional attorney and as an underwriter and broker of transaction risk insurance, DeRose provides legal and strategic advice to clients on the effective use of representation and warranty insurance and other transaction risk insurance products. Her practice also includes representing private equity sponsors and corporate clients in mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and other complex transactions. She advises clients in a wide range of industries, including aerospace and defense, technology, financial services, automotive, retail, manufacturing, and healthcare. She earned her B.S.E., summa cum laude, and M.S.E. from the University of Michigan and her J.D. from New York University School of Law.
