Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP is representing Tribe Capital, a San Francisco-based venture capital firm focused on using product and data science to engineer N-of-1 companies and investment, in connection with a pending special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) initial public offering.  Star NFL wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is a strategic advisor to the SPAC.  The SPAC’s IPO is expected to close in the second quarter of 2021.  This is Tribe Capital’s second SPAC IPO.  Sheppard Mullin was co-counsel for Tribe Capital’s first SPAC IPO, underwritten by Cantor Fitzgerald & Co., which generated gross proceeds of $276 million and closed on March 9, 2021.
