Sheppard Mullin Expands Family-Building Benefits With WINFertility Partnership

02.15.2022

Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP is pleased to announce a new partnership with WINFertility (WIN), the leading global fertility benefits management company. Building on the firm’s existing family-building benefits, WINFertility is a new resource – available to all Sheppard Mullin employees – that offers employees personalized guidance and support throughout their fertility, adoption and surrogacy journeys.

“WINFertility is the gold standard in fertility, surrogacy and adoption benefits,” said Bess Sully, Sheppard Mullin’s Chief Human Resources Officer. “This partnership further strengthens Sheppard Mullin’s long-standing commitment to family-building by enhancing our benefits.  We are thrilled to offer all of our attorneys and staff access to this incredible resource to help shepherd families through the entire fertility process.”

Under Sheppard Mullin’s Family-Building program, the firm provides families a $25,000 lifetime maximum family-building benefit, including advocacy and support for those members going through fertility treatment, or choosing adoption or surrogacy. WIN’s nurse care managers provide care navigation, education, help in understanding treatment options, and recommendations and referrals to experienced agencies for adoption and surrogacy so that families can choose the best course of treatment.

“WINFertility is excited to partner with Sheppard Mullin to offer inclusive family-building benefits, which support career paths that make it easier for all of their employees to simultaneously focus on their careers and build a family,” says Roger Shedlin, MD, JD, and President and CEO of WINFertility. “Our nurse care managers are available 24/7 to offer individualized support and advocacy to Sheppard Mullin employees throughout their family-building journey.”

This family-bonding enhancement is the latest example of Sheppard Mullin’s commitment to providing inclusive and equitable workplace. In the last two years, the firm implemented several enhancements to its existing parental baby-bonding leave policy, as well as its mental health and well-being polices, including its partnership with Lyra Health, offering employees and their families access to in-person or live video therapy, stress management coaching and digital self-care apps. Additional employee well-being resources include a membership to mindfulness and meditation app Headspace and virtual yoga classes for employees and their children.

Sheppard Mullin has long been recognized for its inclusive workplace benefits and policies. Among the awards the firm has received includes being named a Top Firm for Gender Equality and for Family Friendliness by Yale Law Women; recognized among the Best Law Firms for Women by Seramount-Working Mother magazine; and, for the 12th consecutive year, being recognized with a perfect score by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation in its annual Corporate Equality Index.
