Areas of Practice
Ram is a trusted advisor and litigator whose practice spans the full spectrum of intellectual property law. He counsels clients—including emerging companies and established global brands—on protecting and maximizing their intellectual property through comprehensive trademark prosecution, copyright registration, licensing, domain name dispute and portfolio management in both U.S. and international markets. Ram’s work has involved many fields with clients spanning the entertainment, motion pictures, television, music, apparel, luxury goods, and the e-commerce industries.
A strategic advocate in the courtroom, Ram represents clients in complex litigation involving Trademark and Copyright Infringement, Trademark Dilution, Trade Dress Infringement, Lanham Act False Advertising, Defamation, Trade Secrets, and Right Of Publicity or Persona Right claims. He regularly works in federal courts across the country, as well as before the USPTO, vigorously defending client interests across industries.
Recognizing the growing importance of data protection, Ram also works with the firms’ data Privacy and Cybersecurity team to aid in GDPR compliance and helps research and litigate matters involving the intersection of intellectual property and data privacy laws.

Represented Chanel in a false association, false advertising, trademark infringement, and counterfeiting case, against a reseller selling Chanel handbags and accessories on the secondary market in Federal Court in the Southern District of New York.

Represented a client in an ex parte TRO which froze the client’s assets in a Schedule A trademark matter in the Northern District of Illinois.
