Sam Cournoyer is a privacy and cybersecurity associate based in the firm's New York office. He is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group and the Privacy and Cybersecurity Team.
Areas of Practice
Sam assists clients with their full-cycle privacy and cybersecurity needs to help navigate a complex regulatory and litigation environment while advancing business objectives. Sam works to vigorously defend clients in complex privacy litigation and arbitration and brings an organized and analytical lens to drafting and advocacy towards successful resolution for his clients. This approach also extends to his advocacy for clients in privacy and cybersecurity related regulatory investigations and enforcement actions from both federal and state regulatory bodies.
Sam brings his litigation and investigation-response experience to bear in advising clients on regulatory requirements in the privacy space to aid clients in advancing their business goals in our technology-driven moment. These services range from advising on internal and external facing policies and contracts to investigating and managing notification obligations in the wake of a data breach.
