Susan’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions across diverse industries, including private equity, healthcare, and food & beverage. She counsels clients on all facets of deal structuring, legal due diligence, and post-closing integration. Her expertise encompasses performing comprehensive legal due diligence reviews, drafting key transaction documents—including disclosure schedules and related ancillary agreements—and advising on compliance matters from the inception of due diligence through post-transaction operations.
Before joining Sheppard Mullin, Susan worked as a Senior Associate at a global accounting firm, where she advised public and private companies on federal tax due diligence and structuring services in connection with mergers and acquisitions transactions.
While in law school she clerked for the IRS Office of Chief Counsel with its Small Business/Self Employed Unit handling federal tax controversy matters as well as clerked for the State of California Department of Justice Office of the Attorney General.
