Teodora Cupac is an associate in the Business Trial Practice Group in the firm's New York office and a member of the firm’s Healthcare Team.
Areas of Practice
Teodora represents corporations and individuals in complex commercial litigation, government investigations, and international arbitration matters. Teodora’s practice includes substantial work for clients in the healthcare industry, including hospitals, health systems, alternative funding providers, medical device companies, and physician and specialty practice groups. She has experience defending these clients in a range of commercial litigation matters, responding to government investigations, and navigating enforcement actions. Teodora regularly handles matters involving allegations of healthcare fraud under the False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, and other regulatory and compliance statutes. She is also an active participant in the firm’s Women in Healthcare Leadership Collaborative.
Teodora maintains a strong commitment to public service through her pro bono work. She collaborates with the ACLU on impact litigation challenging the dispatch of police to mental health emergencies in Washington, D.C. She works with the Innocence Project, Legal Health Unit assisting individuals seeking visa extensions for cancer treatment through the Cancer Advocacy Project and has represented victims of sex trafficking in court.
Teodora earned her J.D. from USC Gould School of Law, where she participated in the Hale Moot Court Honors Program, the Mediation Clinic, and was recognized as a Public Interest Scholar. She is the founding president of the If/When/How USC Gould Chapter, a reproductive rights advocacy organization. Teodora holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Environmental Science from Hunter College.
