Jeralin Cardoso Named to Daily Journal’s 2022 “Top 40 under 40”
Partner Jeralin Cardoso, leader of Sheppard Mullin’s Corporate and Securities practice group and member of the firm’s Healthcare industry team, was recognized by the Daily Journal as one of 2022’s “Top 40 Under 40” lawyers in California.
Cardoso is celebrated for her unique ability to explain healthcare matters to medical groups, physician organizations and healthcare-focused private equity funds in a way that is practical and understandable, working closely with them to develop the strategic direction of their organizations, including collaboration on governance structures and compensation systems for future success.
Of the ever-changing healthcare industry, Cardoso notes, “This, of course, is also one of the biggest challenges – developing and expanding healthcare law at the same time in which the healthcare industry is growing and evolving. We must not only understand the regulatory requirements, but also work with clients in thoughtful and innovative ways to address the obstacles along the way to achieving their business objectives.”
This past year, Cardoso has served as lead transactional counsel to Pearl Health and its affiliate Perlman Clinic and Amulet Capital Partners in its recapitalization of Lighthouse Behavioral Health Solutions. She expresses pride in helping organizations dedicated to providing mental health treatment in her own San Diego and nationally with her colleagues and clients.
