San Diego Business Journal Names Three Sheppard Mullin Partners to “Women of Influence in Law” List
Partners Jennifer Chavez, Wynter Deagle and Marisa Miller were recognized in the San Diego Business Journal's 2023 “Women of Influence in Law” list, which celebrates female trailblazers in the legal field by highlighting their careers and accomplishments.
Chavez, a partner in the firm’s Real Estate, Energy, Land Use & Environmental practice group, was noted for leading a team that “represented one of the largest homebuilders in the nation in land acquisitions in San Diego since 2021, with a cumulative purchase price of more than $243 million."
Deagle, a Privacy and Cybersecurity partner, defends businesses in privacy and consumer protection-related class actions, and designs global privacy and cybersecurity programs. The San Diego Business Journal noted Deagle for her work assisting Los Angeles County in establishing new countywide privacy protections and standards.
Miller, office managing partner of the firm’s San Diego (Del Mar) office and a partner in the Business Trial practice group, was noted for co-leading a team representing SDG&E in a dispute over a San Diego Unified Port District lease of tidelands property.
