Adam Streisand Named Among Daily Journal’s Top 100 Lawyers in California
The Daily Journal selected Private Wealth and Fiduciary Litigation team leader Adam Streisand among its 2023 list of “Top 100 Lawyers” in California. This is the sixth time Streisand has been included on this well-respected list.
The Daily Journal noted that Streisand “has handled battles over the estates of Michael Jackson, Ray Charles, Michael Crichton, Anna Nicole Smith and many more,” and that earlier in his career he transitioned his practice from entertainment litigation to trust and estate law after securing a landmark victory on behalf of the Beastie Boys and Capitol Records in the digital sampling case, Newton v. Diamond.
The Daily Journal quoted Streisand: "I was absolutely riveted with that first case because, as a trial lawyer, I'm a storyteller, that's what I do. There are no more compelling stories to tell than stories of relationships, especially family relationships."
The Daily Journal also recognized Streisand’s role in Britney Spears’ conservatorship case, as well as his involvement in creating a new California law aimed at giving conservatees the right to choose their own counsel based on the first "Britney's Law" decision by a California Court of Appeal interpreting the statute.
