Sheppard Mullin Litigators Named 2025 Women of Influence: Attorneys by the Los Angeles Business Journal
Business Trial Practice Group Co-Leader Sascha Henry and Los Angeles Office Co-Managing Partner Polly Towill were selected as “Women of Influence: Attorneys” by the Los Angeles Business Journal.
The annual list recognizes influential women legal professionals who have demonstrated exceptional skill and achievement across the full spectrum of responsibility, exemplary leadership as evidenced by the highest professional and ethical standards, and for contributions to the Los Angeles community at large. Honorees were selected based on nomination materials submitted to the Los Angeles Business Journal and reviewed by the editorial department.
Henry was recognized for defending companies against class actions and other sensitive and complex legal challenges, including across state and federal trial courts, along with appellate work in the California Court of Appeal and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. As co-leader of the firm’s Business Trial practice group, she oversees more than 250 litigators—the group is not only the firm’s largest but also the fastest growing, with eight partners, seven special counsel and 15 associates added in 2024.
Towill, also a partner in the Business Trial practice group, was highlighted as a “go-to” litigator and legal strategist. Recently, Towill obtained dismissal of three out of six claims filed against clients Nexstar Media Group and CA-Lats South by property developer Omni Capital. As Co-Managing Partner of the firm’s largest office, she oversees nearly 200 attorneys and over 300 business services professionals. She also leads the firm’s Los Angeles Growth Committee; Federal Whistleblower Retaliation Defense team; and Toxic Tort and Products Liability team.
