Sheppard Mullin was recognized among the best performing patent litigation law firms in the U.S. representing defendants by Patexia.  Patexia’s “Best Performing” category is based upon the outcomes of 10,552 terminated patent litigation cases filed from July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2020.  During this three-year span, 11,786 companies were involved as either defendants or plaintiffs, represented by 2,831 law firms and 12,780 attorneys. The analysis considered case complexity, workload, and outcome; analysis measured all firm “activity” as the weighted average of the number of cases and unique patents; “performance” as the weighted average of “activity”; and the success of terminated cases on behalf of the client.
