Partner Liisa Thomas Appointed to INTA Data Protection Committee

Partner Liisa Thomas, co-leader of the Sheppard Mullin’s Privacy and Cybersecurity practice, has been appointed to the Data Protection Committee of International Trademark Association (INTA) for the 2022–2023 term.  According to INTA, the Data Protection Committee develops and advocates the Association’s policy regarding the impact of data protection law on trademark rights.  She most recently served as a Subcommittee Chair of INTA’s Building Bridges Committee, which focuses on fostering strategic partnerships with non-intellectual property and non-legal organizations. Prior to serving on the Building Bridges Committee, Thomas served as the INTA Bulletin’ Chair.

INTA members comprise 6,500 organizations from 185 countries. The organizations represent more than 34,350 professionals worldwide.  More than 3,700 volunteers were placed on 37 committees for the 2022-2023 term.
