Discussion on new laws, regulation and directives based on promulgations by federal and state governments as the result of the pandemic. This session will focus on these new laws/regulations/directives and we will explore how they affect hospitals, nursing homes and other providers. Topics we will cover include, but are not limited to: new staffing ratios, PPE inventory and infection control. Additionally, the federal government has been focused on fraud related to the provider relief fund payments and recently proposed to impose higher penalties on hospitals that don’t publish their prices. These and other current and developing issues facing health care providers will be among the topics presented.
