Please join us in Washington D.C. for a lively discussion, which will cover a broad range of topics, including: (i) the current health disparity in the United States and the need for action; (ii) strategies organizations are implementing to promote health equity; (iii) resources for organizations seeking to promote health equity; and (iv) the role of policy and regulations in promoting health equity, including the influence of payors and the importance of price transparency.

Meet the panel:

  • Lenetra King
    Lenetra King, FACHE is the founder/CEO of Watch Me EXCEL®, a pioneering leadership development firm based in Fort Worth, Texas that offers Executive Coaching, Consulting and other professional services to organizations, colleges and universities and associations. She brings a deep and rich fifteen-year background as a C Suite executive in both for profit and not for profit hospitals to client engagements. Lenetra is the creator of LeadAmplifyEXCEL®, a proprietary framework that helps emerging and senior leaders amplify their personal brand, maximize their leadership performance and drive results for their organizations. She is the author of Unwritten Insights: A Career Playbook for Leaders of Color. 
  • Gelvina Stevenson
    Gelvina Rodriguez Stevenson is General Counsel at the Wistar Institute, an international biomedical research institute. Prior to that Gelvina served for nine years as an Associate General Counsel at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP).  Gelvina has also worked as an attorney at Weill Cornell Medical College, the Health Committee of the New York City Council, the legislative branch of NYC government and at Chadbourne & Parke LLP.  Gelvina is an Adjunct Professor at the Drexel University School of Medicine, Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and Professional Studies. Gelvina serves as co-chair of the Hispanic National Bar Association’s (HNBA) Health and Life Sciences Section and as a Board member of the American Health Lawyers Association and the Child Center of New York. Gelvina is deeply committed to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion within the legal profession generally and the health law bar in particular.
  • Christine Clements
    With more 25 years of experience in managed care law issues, Christine's practice includes federal healthcare government contract programs such as the Medicare Advantage Program, the Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit, and Medicaid managed care. She advises health plan and other clients on a broad range of issues including initial contract qualification; rate development and bidding; medical loss ratio and other financial and reporting requirements; risk adjustment; Star ratings; payor-provider contracting; sales and marketing strategies and compliance; and benefit design. Previously, Christine served as Chief Medicare Counsel at Aetna Inc.
