On April 1, 2021, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia confirmed Alpha Media’s chapter 11 plan. Alpha Media, the largest privately-held broadcast company in the U.S. that operates more than 200 radio stations with a weekly audience of about 11 million in 44 communities, filed for Chapter 11 protection in January 2021 with a prearranged plan to overcome COVID-19 headwinds and restructure $267 million of funded debt.

The Sheppard Mullin team serving as Alpha Media’s lead restructuring counsel includes partners Justin Bernbrock, Amanda Cottrell and Mikela Sutrina and associates Bryan Uelk, Catherine Jun and Colin Davidson.
