Sheppard Mullin is pleased to announce that partner Jordan E. Hamburger has joined the firm’s Corporate practice group in Century City. Hamburger was most recently a partner at Manatt Phelps & Phillips, LLP, where he was national co-head of the Mergers and Acquisitions Practice. Since January 2018, Sheppard Mullin has added 21 lateral partners, including 6 members to the Corporate practice group.

“Our corporate practice has grown substantially this year,” said Jon Newby, Sheppard Mullin’s vice chairman, “and Jordan is an outstanding addition to the team. His rich experience and first-class client service skills mirror our laser focus on ensuring our clients get the very best advice from the very best lawyers.”

Commenting on Hamburger’s addition, co-practice group leader of the firm’s Corporate and Securities practice group Linda Michaelson said, “Jordan is a great fit for us. While he represents clients in multiple industries, he has a particular focus on healthcare which is one of our key industry sectors, and his private equity and financial services work is of special interest as we continue to build our already significant capabilities in those areas.”

Hamburger's practice focuses on corporate and securities matters, including mergers and acquisitions, public and private securities offerings and other general corporate representation. He represents private equity firms, corporations, entrepreneurs and other market participants in the healthcare and financial services industries, among others. Additionally, Hamburger advises public and private companies on corporate governance matters, and represents public companies in connection with securities law compliance and reporting, including compliance with NASDAQ and NYSE listing standards. Hamburger received his B.A. from Emory University, and his MBA and J.D. with honors from The George Washington University.

Sheppard Mullin has 83 attorneys based in its Century City office. The firm’s Corporate practice group includes more than 170 attorneys firmwide.
