Sheppard Mullin Advises U.S. Bank in Tax Equity Investment in Arkansas Wind Project
Sheppard Mullin’s Energy, Infrastructure and Project Finance industry team advised U.S. Bancorp (NYSE: USB) in a $263 million tax equity investment in Cordelio Power’s Crossover Wind project in Cross County, Ark. Now commercially operational, the 135 MW Crossover Wind project is the first utility-scale wind project in the state of Arkansas.
U.S. Bank’s investment in the Crossover project is a custom financing solution that helps its client build and supply needed energy generation across the country while expanding sources of renewable energy, strengthening the energy grid and driving local job creation.
The Sheppard Mullin team, led by partner Benjamin Huffman, included partner Steve Peterson, special counsel Megan La Tronica and associate Josh Block on the core transaction team and also involved a number of other attorneys from the Firm’s deep bench of energy project development, construction, finance and tax specialists.
