- Sheppard Mullin was among the most active law firms in 2019 for private equity deals in the United States, according to PitchBook’s Annual Global League Tables. The firm was ranked 21st for overall US private equity deals and 6th for private equity deals on the West Coast.
Pitchbook is a leading source for data on M&A, private equity and venture capital deal activity. Its annual Global League Tables is the industry’s most comprehensive ranking of private equity and venture capital activity worldwide for the year. All league tables included in PitchBook’s report are compiled using the count of completed deals for the specified deal type, region and other criteria. Only publicly disclosed transactions and/or transactions confirmed by PitchBook’s primary research team are included.
- Corporate partners Eric Klein and Lucantonio Salvi were shortlisted for The Deal’s annual Middle Market Awards for their work in the private equity sector advising on significant middle-market transactions. Klein is shortlisted for Healthcare, Pharma & Biotech Dealmaker of the Year and Salvi is shortlisted for Private Equity Advisor of the Year. The Deal’s Middle Market awards recognize the leading lawyers, bankers, investors and advisors in transactions valued up to $400 million. Winners will be announced at the Deal Awards ceremony in New York City on April 29.
