Dr. Jing Liu is a partner in the Intellectual Property Practice Group in the firm's San Diego (Del Mar) office.

Areas of Practice

Jing focuses her practice on patent prosecution, counseling on patent infringement and validity issues, management of patent and other intellectual property assets, intellectual property due diligence studies.

She currently represents US and foreign clients in a wide range of technological areas, including biotechnology (for example, oncology, gene therapy using siRNA therapeutics, and genomics and bioinformatics), pharmaceuticals, chemical, life sciences, aesthetics & personal care products, and nanotechnology. Jing also represents a number of foreign associates in procuring U.S. patent protection for their clients in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology areas.

Jing received her Ph.D. in Biology from the University of Kansas Medical Center in 2005 for work related to computational genomics and evolutionary classification of viruses of bacteria and archaea.
