Chenxi (Abby) Lu is an associate in the Labor and Employment Practice Group in the firm's Los Angeles office.
Areas of Practice
Abby represents employers in single-plaintiff as well as class action lawsuits, including matters involving claims on discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour violations. She has worked with businesses of all sizes, from industries such as healthcare, retail, hospitality, fashion, technology, banking and finance, and temporary staffing.
Other than litigation, Abby advises employers on employment practices, such as human resources management and compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Abby also has experience in traditional labor issues, including collective bargaining, compliance with the National Labor Relations Act, and union-employer arbitrations. Between March 2023 and October 2023, Abby worked as counsel at the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (“AMPTP”). During this time, Abby partook in negotiations between the AMPTP and the Directors Guild of America, the Writers Guild of America, and the Screen Actors Guild and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. She also provided guidance to studio representatives during a historic double-union strike, and assisted with reaching agreements with the striking unions to end work stoppage in the entertainment industry.
