Sheppard Mullin continues to represent San Diego Airpark on land use and environmental compliance, real estate and corporate matters in connection with the development of the Brown Field Municipal Airport in Otay Mesa, California. The airport, which broke ground on June 11, 2024, will serve as a gateway for international trade and will be the largest general aviation event on the West Coast. Once completed, the 331-acre development will include new terminal buildings, commercial and individual hangars, a hotel, restaurant, a solar field and other new city infrastructure, and will create an estimated 2,500 jobs and have an $1.5 billion economic impact on the region.

The Sheppard Mullin team included partners Whitney Hodges, Richard Friedman, Paul Seeley, special counsel Jeff Gardner, and associates Lauren Stewart and Allison Wong.
