Sheppard Mullin Recognized in Variety’s 2024 Legal Impact Report
Partners Robert Darwell, Linda Michaelson and Alexis Robinson and special counsel Meg Wilson were recognized in Variety’s Legal Impact Report 2024, a prestigious list of the entertainment industry’s top dealmakers and litigators.
Robinson, leader of the firm’s Entertainment, Technology, and Media practice group and co-leader of the Music team, was recognized for high-profile transactions for companies such as Peloton and Domain Capital Group.
Darwell, who serves as the firm’s Head of Global Media, and Wilson were recognized for handling film and television deals for Amazon Studios, including one with YouTube star Jimmy Donaldson (aka “MrBeast”) for a reality competition series titled “Beast Games.”
Michaelson, a corporate M&A lawyer, was noted for representing Lionsgate in its $375 million acquisition of EntertainmentOne from Hasbro, and AXN Investment and its subsidiary Affirm Entertainment in their joint venture with Great American Media Group in the faith-based streaming platform Pure Flix.
