Sheppard Mullin Launches Women in Healthcare Leadership Collaborative

Series of Professional Development Programs Kicks off with a Member Meet and Greet on August 10
07.30.2019

Sheppard Mullin, in collaboration with COPE Health Solutions, is pleased to announce the launch of the Women in Healthcare Leadership Collaborative (WHLC), an exclusive leadership initiative for women attorneys, compliance officers, business leaders and other professionals in the healthcare industry who have the talent and drive to advance their careers in a dynamic and heavily regulated industry. WHLC is dedicated to supporting and cultivating women leaders in healthcare by providing members with important legal and industry insights, professional skills training and development, quality networking with other leaders in healthcare, and peer-to-peer mentoring. WHLC will host a series of conversations to provide targeted education to members on critical issues facing the healthcare industry today.

“Sheppard Mullin is at the forefront of the advancement and retention of women attorneys, so the Women in Healthcare Leadership Collaborative is a natural expansion to women leaders within the industries we work,” said Amanda Zablocki, associate and co-leader of Sheppard Mullin’s WHLC program. “Through WHLC, we’re dedicated to helping women professionals in the healthcare industry advance into leadership and C-suite positions and providing them with continued support throughout their careers.”

“We launched WHLC because we believe Sheppard Mullin’s healthcare team is well-positioned to provide women professionals in healthcare with critical knowledge and tools to succeed in this industry,” said Danielle Vrabie, associate and co-leader of Sheppard Mullin’s WHLC program. “We’re excited to kick it off in New York, and with time, expand the program firmwide.”

WHLC will kick-off its series of conversations with “meet and greet” afternoon picnic for members and their families on Saturday, August 10.

The second program will be a roundtable discussion on “Social Determinants of Health: Developing & Leveraging Partnerships with Community-based Organizations,” on Tuesday, September 17, co-hosted by Sheppard Mullin and COPE Health Solutions, featuring presenter Dr. Amanda Parsons, Deputy Chief Medical Officer at MetroPlus Health Plan. Following the discussion, attendees will hear from Dr. Brooke Wachtler of BEW Consulting, who is partnering with WHLC to provide professional skills training and workshops.

WHLC membership is by invitation only. Contact whlc@sheppardmullin.com if you’d like to join.
