Sheppard Mullin Represents UCI Health in Acquisition of Four Southern California Hospitals
Sheppard Mullin represented UCI Health in its acquisition of Tenet Healthcare Corporation’s (NYSE:THC) Pacific Coast Network. Consisting of four hospitals, the network will become part of UCI Health, the clinical enterprise of the University of California, Irvine.
Under the acquisition, which is pending customary regulatory approvals, clearances and closing conditions, four Southern California medical centers in Lakewood, Los Alamitos, Fountain Valley and Placentia and associated outpatient locations will become part of the UCI Health system. UCI Health services patients in Orange County, western Riverside County and southeast Los Angeles County. The acquisition will allow the hospital system to expand its ability to improve unrestricted access to healthcare across its region.
